Counting down the days and reminding my readers to share the concept – Follow The Adventure – as I set out on the 23rd of September to start the voyage from west to east coasts. The plans for Vancouver Island are taking form already and there are some key dates that are unfolding. Read on to see when and if I’ll be in your area and what plans I’ll have while there.
September 23rd – Nanaimo – With plans to arrive in town in the early afternoon, I have a couple of meetings and a conference to attend starting from 5pm. This is part of my exciting new business opportunity which you can learn more about over at http://rewindtheyears.com.
September 24 to 26 – Victoria – I’m planning to visit some old friends and say my farewells to them and to the wonderful city of Victoria, where I landed here on Vancouver Island way back 30 years ago in 1980! Hard to believe I’ve been here that long, since the time has gone by so quickly. I’m also planning to do a couple of photo shoots while in the capitol city, and capture some of the people and places I remember and compare them to older photos I took nearly 18 years ago.
September 27th – back up through the Valley and then on into the Campbell River area, with plans to take a run out to Gold River. I hope to include Gold River in my book, as this little town has quite a story to share and some beautiful scenery to start the book off right. On the return through the Comox Valley one final time around the 29th, I will capture Cumberland as another possible candidate for the book, if I haven’t already done so before leaving.
Around the 29th, I will ferry over to Powell River, and then on from there is yet to be determined depending on who I connect with and what sights I plan to see. Of course weather will already start to be a consideration for where I go and for how long.
If you’re in one of the places I’ve listed, watch for the 32 foot corsair with Follow The Adventure on the sides. And if you’re interested in the project, as a supporter or to be in it, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line and let me know so that maybe we can connect when I’m in your area.
Cheers!
